The ILS Type T Squeeze Packer is a tension set packer that holds pressure above or below. The
tool can be set at any depth and is used where insufficient weight is available to set a compression
packer. This packer is ideal for squeeze cementing, testing, stimulation and straddle operations
using a retrievable bridge plug.
The ILS Tension Unloader is generally run above the Type T Packer allowing pressure equalization
before releasing the packer. It also provides a bypass when running and retrieving to minimize
swabbing of the elements. The Type T Squeeze Packer emergency release system incorporates a
left-hand, high ratio thread. Applying right-hand torque relaxes the packing element and moves the
lower cone away from the slips enabling them to retract.
